Garner Planning has secured planning permissions for the change of use of three guest houses to holiday lets in the Lake District National Park (Keswick, Windermere and Bowness). Guest house owners are responding to the impact of the pandemic and a potential longer term change in customer demand for guest house accommodation.

Yorkshire Dales National Park Consent for New Dwellings

Garner Planning has secured planning and listed building consent for the conversion of a listed farm building into two dwellings and the erection of a new dwelling within the Orton Conservation Area. Lanquest Properties Limited provided the drawings and amendments as required and agreed with the local planning authority.  

Replacement Dwelling near Keswick

Garner Planning, acting as agent for the property owners, has secured planning permission to replace an existing 1960’s/70’s dwelling with a larger eco Passivhaus. The new dwelling will have fine views down Derwent Water to Borrowdale. The new dwelling has been designed by EcoArc, an architectural practice based in Kentmere.
