Thornthwaite, Keswick

December 8th, 2016 | Posted by Chris Garner in News

Garner Planning has secured planning permission for a new dwelling on the edge of the village of Thornthwaite, just to the north of Keswick.

The new dwelling will replace a former commercial garage, last used for commercial purposes in the early 1990’s, making a significant improvement to the approach to the village.

As the site is located in the Lake District National Park, occupation of the dwelling is restricted to people who have lived in the locality for the last three years or worked in the locality for at least 9 months prior to occupation. The locality is restricted to a number of parishes in the North Distinctive Area of the National Park, specifically precluding occupation by persons who currently live and work outside the immediate area.
