Planning permission has been granted for a new dwelling in the rear garden of an existing property in the hamlet of Slackhead, near Beetham.

The site has a previous application history with Garner Planning Associates securing consent following an appeal in 2011.

The new consent, granted in January 2014, is outline with all matters reserved, allowing residents of the new dwelling to potentially benefit from views over Morecambe Bay.
