Garner Planning has secured outline planning permission for a new dwelling within the village of Crosthwaite, near Kendal.

Members of the Lake District National Park Authority considered the application given objections from local residents and the parish council, but agreed that the proposal was appropriate within a village.

Given the current Covid-19 situation, the Development Control Committee was a virtual meeting with local residents and Garner Planning given the opportunity to present their views by video link. The virtual system works and is probably better than a personal appearance. It may be the new normal.
